So over on the official Google blog today, they say they’ve got a “Fresh take on browsing”…introducing Google Chrome.  A browser with comic book appeal….

The first comic page states most of the websites today we visit are more applications than web pages…videos, games, etc.  Next it goes on to talk about stability and usability as well as being fast as well as secure, simple and efficient.  Page three discusses (no not nudity), “Part One” – stability, testing and the multi processor architecture.  Then, you lose the tabs and go in to some speel about process, memory and the bin (trash can).  Page 9 they bring out the fly swatter and kill a live one…Then out of nowhere, page 12 brings the tabs back.

Page 12′s tab is “Part Two”: Speed WebKit and V8 – which I’m guessing (I haven’t naviated past yet) the following pages will divulge more info in black and white (well blue) comic grandeour…Yep, I’m right.  Pages 13-17 go in to the speed and talk about V8 as well as have some visio type diagrams on them.  Page 18 brings up “Part Three” – Searching and the user Experience.

Part Four which begins with page 25 is all about security and your experience, talks about user experience and sandbox experience, brings in some more information about process and the tabs, as well as having numerous more pictures – BIG FISH page 32 – then on page 34, we hit the home stretch…

Part Five – Gears, Standards, and Open Source…then, after 38 pages, you get a blank page – as if it were the back of the comic book stating who was responsible for all of these charactures and what don’t you get?  A download URL.  UGH!…

After all this, I’m redirected back to the Google homepage where I finally have a “Download Chrome (Beta)” link, but guess what – no Mac support yet.

…to be continued.
