If you haven’t already found the "Personalize" part of Windows 7 (right click on the desktop and it should be the last item), you’re missing some fun stuff.  Windows 7 introduces Themes (I wrote a while back on "Themes, Themes, and London" which was a Theme pack), but at any rate, what I was getting to is that there is a theme installed per your Regional Settings.  For me, as I live in the UK, there is a United Kingdom Theme activated for me by default.  However, buried in the windows directory structure lives a few other themes, even though they might not be my regional locale.

Navigate to:

C:\Windows\Globalization\mct\

(it’s a hidden directory so you’re best to copy and paste it in to the run dialogue)

themes-directory

and inside that folder is five subfolders (currently – maybe it will change in the RC?) MCT-AU (Australia), MCT-CA (Canada), MCT-GB (United Kingdom), MCT-US (United States) and MCT-ZA (South Africa).  Inside each of these folders is a theme folder wherein there is a theme file.  Simply click that theme file and presto you’ll have that regions theme installed, configured and ready to use (activated) on your machine.

Enjoy!
